    Graz - weird weird weird!!!

Because our room was really comfy and had a TV, the boys wanted to stay in bed until 1 watching mission impossible 3 (lame!). Strolled around the really pretty streets in the sunshine and stopped in the square for crepes and hotdogs for brekkie, really looking forward to eating proper food! Then we took the Schlossbergbahn funicular railway up to the top of the hill in the centre of Graz. The views from the bell tower were spectacular and we finally saw the giant shell building in the river (the Murinsel) and the friendly alien building (called the Kunsthaus Graz) near it. Both pretty weird! The friendly alien has also been compared to a mutant bladder, a liver and a whale. hmmmmm........

Walked back past some quaint little churches and the 260 zigzagging steps up to the clock tower; the clock tower looks like a giant cuckoo clock and the hands are the wrong way around - very silly!

Stopped in a biergarten for some midday brewskies, and then went to the Stadpark to play frisbee and nap in the sunshine. Saw the fountain, the monuments and the giant rusty nail - another very strange idea! This may sound random - but they have the nicest grass! Feels like fur!!

Strolled back to the hostel stopping at another biergarten for mid afternoon brewskies and fried food. Austrians deep fat fry EVERYTHING!!

On our way back out after getting all dolled up for the night, we passed loadsa huge American cars, like Chevy’s and Cadillac’s and stuff - very cool! Graz is defo a bit odd though!
