Blandover - home again already! We went to bed last night feeling like we'd eaten all the food in the world, but then we were woken up by the delicious smell of fresh donuts, bread and cakes wafting through the house! Oh no! So much food for 4 people! We stuffed ourselves silly out in the sunshine at the veranda whilst Eva and her parents sat and watched us. Then we said our sad goodbyes to Eva and her amazing parents and set off for HOME!! I can't believe how quickly the 20 hour drive home came around. We tackled it in 3 hour bursts with ant and Marky swapping at each break. Had one last fantastic meal in Germany, stopped for one last heartbreaking photo with Axl, and got suffocated by Ant’s stinky socks. The socks that ant has been wearing for 3 days straight. That’s nights too. The socks that smell like nothing else. Having shoved them in my mouth, he decided that it was necessary to throw them in my eye too. So we decided that Ant’s feet smell so bad and that these socks needed to be thrown out of the car window. So I apologise for any bad smells contaminating the air around Köln! Oh yeah, we also saw the gumball rally as we passed through Nuremburg. The cars were pretty cool, I’m not really a car person though so couldn’t appreciate it as much as ant and Marky. But it was definitely a cool sight on the last drive. We made fantastic time though; we arrived at the ferry port at 12! Great! Except our ferry isn't until 6. Oops! We couldn't get an earlier ferry this time, and since it was midnight, and France, nothing was open. We hadn't eaten for hours and were running out of water. Things were getting tough...........so we found a really soft kid’s play area made of that foam stuff and had a nap. Always a great solution. A few hours later we were rudely awoken by the PA system announcing that the ferry had arrived. Found a coushdy little spot on the ferry, had a fry up that disappeared in about 4 seconds, then snuggled back down for some more napping. I think ant may be turning me into a sloth! The drive home was sad, but it was lovely to see everyone again. The trip has been amazing, totally different from any other trip we've done. So thanks to Marky and Cat for putting up with me, and thanks to all the people we've met too. And a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge thanks to Eva and her parents for looking after us in Prague. And congrats to mum and dad on your 25th wedding anniversary! Devon - on the road again.......So much for my exploring England whilst we are at home! Was all set to explore somewhere new but ended up back in Devin again! I love it down there! Spent most of the time fishing, walking and mucking about on the beach and of course eating ice cream! Can’t wait to get back down there again though. Starting to get our next big adventure all booked up now, only 2 weeks to go! yay! Lasse- of course we'll help you move, as long as you put us up for a few nights! Cant wait to see the wonderful Danish land! Dan - good to hear you're getting settled back in now you're back at home, shame you wont be back in the UK for a bit though, oh well, we'll just have to come to Oz instead - what a shame! Cez, Kaz and Bex- Rome sounds cool, wish I could come with you! We’re going away again at the end of august for a road trippy thingy and will be hitting Italy pretty early on, would be cool if we were there the same time as you! Will be with Marky and Cat though! Devon- moo! hey i was gonna say that!Hey everybody, just got back from a long weekend in Devon. Figured whilst we are back in the country we should start exploring it a bit more, we've met so many people from different countries who have seen more of England than us! So now I’m feeling a little guilty for complaining about how poo England is - Devon is beautiful! I always thought Whitchurch was quite countryside-ish, but Devon's so much greener with so many cute little lambs and cows! The beaches were really nice, not quite so warm as Thailand though! And it’s a really cool place for outdoory thingys; even found myself quad biking, not a Lani thing! And it was good to be back in a tent again, camping's so much fun, and it means you have to have a BBQ - yay! We were really lucky with the weather, except for the few hours we ventured out on our bikes with no shelter around us, in our shorts, with no raincoats! Was gonna happen though! Back to blandover for a little while though, and suprise suprise, its raining! Hey!!Hey! Welcome to my space! I have made this poor attempt at a blog so that i can write about all my adventures, the next one being South East Asia in 2 weeks! yay! This way I won't have to send millions of emails to everyone, you can just check this yourselves to see where I've got to and what I've done. Lazy I know, but emailing everyone cost me so much in South America, so this will have to do!
So this is the adventure so far..........................
Pretty lame, I know! Consists of a meesly 16 countries (and principalities and things!) : UK, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Belgium, Channel Islands, Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Greece, Ireland, and Monaco.
But by the end of this year, it should look more like this.................
As this is what we have planned for 2006! Yay! Still only a pretty tiny 15%, but for a pink and fluffy girl (thanks Gamma!) not bad!
And eventually I want to have had an adventure in every continent!
Let the adventures begin!!!!!!!!
