Bonjour toute la monde!! Just got back from France and I’m missing the familiar croissants and crepes from last year already! We started off in Nantes which was much more fun than I expected, but left me pondering once again: do the French ever go to work?! We spent our days sipping on far too many alcoholic beverages sat outside in the sunshine at different cafe's and bars people watching with all the locals who I expected to be at work! Us English folk have got it so wrong! And we don’t have nearly enough pretty castles and churches for my liking; although the castle in Nantes didn’t smell so pretty thanks to the diggers trying to restore what was trying to be a moat, I think.

Then we met up with my family further south near La Rochelle to spend a week relaxing in the middle of nowhere. Ants and Tom put in a good effort trying to fish for dinner, the fish were too weird to eat though. Ed and me discovered on our disaster of a bike ride that we were in fact surrounded by huge hills, which looked deceivingly flat from the car! And mum and dad forced themselves to sleep by the pool back at the cottage.

We were planning on heading across France to Germany so Ant could show me where he grew up, but we've decided to save that for next month on the way to Denmark-?? Not really on route hey?! Sorry again Nancy, we will definitely meet up when we eventually get to Germany!

So now its just saving again for our Scandinavian adventure. Lasse you'd better be ready to prove that your Danish land is as wonderful as you've told us!
